Research Topic
Arthritis is a disease that causes joint problems in the body that may limit the ability to make daily activities. This disease occurs in 40 to 60 years of age. Although there is a medical illness can recover but it will be a tendency to occur again. In fact, this disease among diseases causing pressure problems throughout the world. Limitations in doing anything in life not only cause a person to feel pain but had suffered depression. Patients often feel disappointed and sad when there are boundaries between themselves and the outside world. Arthritis also causes loss of memory problems gradually. Patients will begin to forget the sensation of experience, such as sights, sounds, and feel.
Background
Arthritis patients have problems because of the limits of movement. This project is to provide experience to the people to appreciate the ability to touch, move, hear, and grateful be able to interact visually with the senses. Users have the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of the flashing LED lights that move with the natural progression.
Problem Identification
The LEDs in panels are normally dim and constant-- probably almost like stars on the sky, it is a faint glow of twinkling like the night sky. This interactive table "sees" the motion, and induces a slight ripple starting in that location that can spread out to other areas as it dissipates. The overall effect is a bit like touching a pool of water, in that your local disturbance turns into an overall gentle rippling, and eventually settles down.
Aim and Objectives
- Study the depression of arthritic patient
- Understand an individual differences may lead to chronic pain and digitalize it through project outcomes.
- Approach people to appreciate healthy senses.
Motivation
My mother is one of pre-artrities patients who began having trouble moving some parts of the body very well. Eventually, the disease began to affect her emotionally and physically in her daily lives. The use of chemical drugs to cure it in just a temporary situation and not permanent. This project is to remind myself to appreciate senses I still have to help my mother to overcome her weaknesses caused by arthritis.
Ideation and Concept
Interactive LED panels are giant circuit boards filled superbright LEDs that respond in a complex, subtle, and gentle fashion to stimulus provided by human interaction.
